Dear tangueros and tangueras,
Join us for a weekend of Argentine tango dancing and learning with visiting maestro Damian Thompson. Damian is known worldwide for his exceptional teaching and commitment to his students. He will be teaching alongside our very own Vanessa Leamy Corsini.
There are three tango workshops designed to improve and explore your dance and the opportunity to dance away Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Booking is essential.
Programme:
Day 1: Saturday 25 May 2024
• 11:45am – 1:15pm: Workshop 1 – Close embrace shared axis to colgada journey with options
• 1:15pm – 2:00pm: Practica & Lunch Break
• 2:00pm – 3:30pm: Workshop 2 – Boleos & ganchos (& volcadas)
• 7 – 11 pm: Evening milonga
Day 2: Sunday 26 May 2024
• 1:00pm – 2:30pm: Workshop 3 – Soltadas
• 2:30pm – 6:00pm: Afternoon practilonga
Venue:
All of the event will be held at Woodside Hall, 36 Glenfarg Street, G20 7QE.
This is close to St George’s Cross subway station. Parking is free in the area on the weekend.
Prices:
£20 per workshop per person (students £18)
Saturday evening milonga £10 (students £8).
Sunday afternoon practilonga £5
