Have you always dreamt of dancing tango? Well this is your chance! The Glasgow Tango Collective is running a ten week beginners course starting on Monday 20th January 2020 at 6pm and running until Monday 23rd March.
(Note: our next beginners course will start in early April 2020: details will confirmed shortly).
Argentine tango is a great way to have fun, meet new people whilst also improving posture, balance, flexibility and overall health. You will learn the fundamentals of this exciting dance in a relaxing and fun way and you will be ready for the dance floor in no time. Please note this course is also ideal for those wishing to refresh their tango knowledge and experience our teaching method.
We always do our best to balance numbers between leaders and followers so there is no need to come with a partner. If you do have someone to sign up with please let us know.
Everyone is welcome to join our beginners classes. No previous experience in dance is needed: if you can walk, you can dance tango! Wear comfortable clothing and ideally shoes with a leather sole to make pivoting easy. Ladies may also wish to wear heels although it is not necessary.
The cost of the 10 week course is £65 per person (£55 students/unemployed). This includes a weekly one hour group lesson and free entry to our Monday tango practice sessions that run from 8 to 10pm.
The venue for the lessons and practice sessions is the Wellington Church in the west end of Glasgow (77 Southpark Avenue, G12 8LE). Classes are taught by Vanessa Leamy Corsini.
Booking is essential so if you wish to reserve a place please use the form below. Alternatively you can message us on facebook, email us at glasgowtangocollective@gmail.
